Dosch HDRI: Underwater is a collection of 20 high-resolution HDR (High Dynamic Range Images) images depicting underwater scenes. These images were developed to show realistic and impressive underwater worlds and are ideal for professional visualizations. The HDR images offer a high level of detail and quality, making them particularly useful for animations, 3D rendering and virtual environments.
Thanks to HDR technology, the images enable realistic lighting and shadow representation, making them perfect for applications in architectural visualizations, product presentations and film and animation projects. With various underwater scenes and lighting conditions, the set offers a wide range of possibilities for authentically depicting underwater environments. "Dosch HDRI: Underwater" is therefore an indispensable tool for creative projects that require a realistic depiction of underwater worlds.

Dosch HDRI: Underwater by Dosch Design contains 20 high-resolution, high-dynamic-range images of underwater worlds. These images are presented as spherical maps up to 10,000 × 5,000 pixels in HDR format and are designed as HDRI underwater textures for professional 3D visualization, CGI, and underwater rendering. The collection is aimed at product designers, architects, and CGI professionals who require photorealistic underwater scenes as a basis for lighting and environments in their underwater projects.
The 20 panoramic images cover a wide spectrum of underwater landscapes—from sunlit blue waters near the surface to coral reefs with stony corals and coral banks, and scenes on the seabed and ocean floor with aquatic vegetation, seaweed, and submerged plants. Some images depict underwater structures in diving environments, such as those encountered by divers in the Caribbean, the South Pacific, or the Pacific Ocean. Others portray calmer underwater environments with aquatic plants and marine flora on the seabed. Scenes featuring shallow waters off beaches, wave refractions, and swimming pool-like conditions are also included, covering marine ecosystems as well as the deep sea. Each underwater panorama uses image-based lighting to provide the underwater lighting effects and colors necessary for realistic light refraction, caustics, and color gradients underwater—a result that is difficult to achieve with comparable dynamics using traditional underwater photography with underwater cameras.
Product designers use these HDRIs to present diving equipment, water sports gear, or maritime consumer goods in realistic underwater depictions. For underwater film production, underwater animation, and underwater CGI design, the panoramas provide ready-made environment maps that allow for the rapid construction of underwater film sets and sequences – whether as underwater CGI for action films or for tranquil underwater simulations in design and research projects. Oceanography projects, underwater research, and deep-sea exploration benefit from this, as does underwater exploration with robotics, since the HDRI underwater effects generate physically accurate reflections and shadows, even in real-time engines. In underwater videos, graphics, and computer graphics, the maps ensure consistent underwater visualizations that can be directly integrated into underwater scenarios as underwater images and landscape shots. The four included unfolding modes – Light Probe, Spherical Map, Vertical Cross, and Horizontal Cross – guarantee compatibility with all common rendering engines, enabling underwater sequences in underwater films as well as underwater experiences in interactive applications. Anyone creating underwater animation effects or digital art with an aquatic theme will find these underwater images a solid foundation for consistent lighting and environmental representation.
The HDRI underwater photography collection is available for download in .HDR format, making it easy to integrate into your existing underwater technology and 3D rendering workflow. Download the package and use it for your next underwater films, underwater experiences, or CGI productions.
The 20 high-quality HDR images of various underwater places are provided in the most widely used formats:
Light-Probe (Angular Map)
Spherical Map (Latitude-Longitude)
Vertical-Cross

High Dynamic Range Images (HDRI) are a perfect solution for the realistic lighting and environmental imaging of 3D scenes.
HDRIs are 360-degree panoramas for all kinds of renderings in the areas of product visualization, CGI, real-time rendering, which are illuminated with the help of IBL (Image Base Lighting).
Outstanding reflections, impressive lighting moods and real-looking environments are the result.

The HDR images are provided in the following formats:
Light-Probe - 4096x4096, 2048x2048, 512x512 pixel
Spherical Map - 10,000 x 5,000, 6248x3124, 2048x1024 pixel
Vertical-Cross - 4686 x 6248 pixel
Horizontal-Cross - 6248 x 4686 pixel

And each HDR image is provided in the industry standard .HDR. So they are useable in most rendering applications.
